How to Schedule Accomodated Exams with Examination Services
Step One: Make sure you have arranged academic accommodation with a Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) counselor.
Note: You must speak to an SSD Counsellor for EACH course for which you are registered. Every time you add a new course, you need to contact your SSD counsellor. If you log in and do not see all the courses for which you would like accommodation, you MUST contact your SSD counsellor. You must do this at the beginning of every term and also if you add/drop a course.
Contact information is available at the Services for Students with Disabilities website for main campus. SSD Kings can be contacted at 519-433-3491 EXT. 4321.
SSD is located in Room 4110 of the Western Student Services Building. SSD Kings is located In the Wemple Building, Room W157 for King's students. If you have already arranged academic accommodation with SSD you may proceed to Step Two.
Step Two: Log In to the Examination Services and SSD King's Login page to provide exam or test dates.
Once logged in, you will see your name at the top of the screen and your courses listed at the bottom of the page. To submit a request for a test or exam, select the course from the drop down menu and press submit. All exam signup requests must be completed online as follows.
This will take you to an online form where you can submit test and exam dates for that course. Once you have submitted an exam date, you will receive a confirmation email, and when you return to the main page, you will see the exam date and time listed in green.
You MUST submit a request for EACH test or exam that you want to arrange with Examination Services. At the start of each term, you should refer to your course outlines to find out dates and times for tests in your courses and submit a request for each test or exam to Exam Services. If you don’t know the dates of your tests or exams, ask your instructor.
While it is best to submit all your requests as soon as you have your course outlines. The deadline to submit exam requests is 14 days prior to the exam date. If you miss that date and sign up anywhere from 14 to 5 days before the exam, your request will be under review and will be scheduled at the discretion of the Accommodated Exams Team, depending on resources available. If you request your exam less than 5 days before the exam, your request will automaticly be denied.
For exams that are scheduled by the Office of the Registrar (All term final exams),requests will be submitted after the exam schedule is posted.
- You will receive a special email notification, indicating the deadline date to request final exams.
The screen you will see is sampled below. For any exams you wish to write with Accommodated exams simply click the "Request Exam" button and this will active your sign up for that specific exam.
