Paying your Fees with OSAP/Deferral

Paying your Fees with OSAP/Deferral

In order to have tuition deferred to OSAP, you must have a complete and processed application with no outstanding documents. Please check your OSAP account to verify the status of your application. The funding summary will outline the dates and details of the funding to be issued. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the first installment of OSAP (60% of total) is enough to cover the first installment of tuition. If not, the outstanding amount must be paid on or before the tuition due date to avoid a tuition late payment charge.

To ensure OSAP funds are available to pay tuition at the study start, the following steps must be met:

  • Your Master Student Financial Aid Agreement (MSFAA) has been completed and submitted to a designated Canada Postal outlet. Check the OSAP website to ensure it has been received by the Ministry.
  • You have said “yes” on your OSAP application to allow the school to remit tuition from your OSAP funding to pay your fees. If you choose not to remit you must pay your fees within one week of receiving your OSAP funding.

If a student’s OSAP application has not been completed before the tuition due date, students are responsible for paying fees by the due date on their online Statement of Account. A deferment will NOT be granted automatically because you have applied for OSAP.
