July Convocation Celebration

To celebrate our alumni who graduated in 2020 and 2021, we are inviting you back to campus to celebrate your achievement.
Guest Tickets
Tickets for the July ceremonies are now available: https://studentservices.uwo.ca/secure/convocation/orderTickets/
When you log in you will see the date and time for your ceremony. Our convocation celebrations are closely tied to your faculty and program of study. Equally, we want to ensure that all graduates have an equal opportunity to attend their appropriate ceremony. Given these details, we cannot allow alternate days or times.
All graduates may request up to 4 tickets on a first come, first serve basis. You will see your ceremony date and time when you log in to order tickets. All guests must have a ticket to attend. We do not have extra tickets for this celebration.
Masking and Vaccination Status
Western University continues to require all those coming to campus to wear a face mask in all indoor spaces. All students returning to campus must attest that they and their guests are fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption when tickets are ordered.
Academic Regalia
All students who are planning to attend Convocation must pre-order their Convocation gown and hood on Gaspard's Regalia Ordering Site.
Order between: May 16 - June 23 (11:59PM)
Additional fees will apply for late registration and on-site registration.
Photography
Attending graduates will have their photos taken at Convocation, and Western will provide each graduate with a free 5x7 photograph commemorating the event. Students must pre-register on the GradImages Canada website where they select their ceremony date and time.
International Students
If you are outside Canada without a visa
Step 1: Log into your Student Center account to order an Official Western Letter – name of letter: “Completed Requirements for Upcoming Graduation”
Step 2: Apply for a Visitor Visa on IRCC’s website https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/steps-apply-visitor-visa.html
The Official Western Letter should be included in their application as a supporting document in regards to their purpose of coming to Canada. We also recommend students provide a detailed explanation letter when they apply for a visitor visa.
They may want to check processing times https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html before they apply for a Visitor Visa since they may not be able to get their visa in time for the convocation.
If you are outside Canada with a valid visa
Log into their Student Center account to order an Official Western Letter– name of letter: “Completed Requirements for Upcoming Graduation.” This letter can be used to support their entry to Canada.
If you are inside Canada and would like to invite your family
Please refer to our website https://iesc.uwo.ca/student_life/your_family/inviting_family_and_friends.html
If you are inviting your family or friends to attend your Convocation, you may order an Official Western Letter which confirms your enrolment and Convocation date. For undergraduate students, you may select either "Applied - Upon Successful Completion" or "Completed Requirements for Upcoming Graduation," depending on the time when you order the letter. For graduate students, you may order "Completed Requirements for any Graduation." Please see more details of how to order an Official Western Letter on the Office of the Registrar's website.
