Plan your finances

Your fees are now live!
You can now view your tuition and/or residence fees in your Student Center. Go to Student Financials > Fees and Refunds > Statement of Account. Your Statement of Account includes:
- Your full account balance
- Charges, payments, and due dates
- A printer-friendly version, if you need a copy
If you are staying in residence, your residence fees will appear on your Statement of Account in late July. To keep your spot, your payment must be received by the deadline listed on your statement.
Making a payment
Explore payment methods and instalment options on our Payment Options webpage.
- If you are a first-year student, your fees are due by August 1, 2025
- If you are an upper-year student, your fees are due by August 15, 2025
If you make a payment from a Canadian bank, payments can take 2-3 business days to process, and payments from International banks can take 3-5 business days to process.
Keep these timelines in mind so that you don't accrue late penalties. An interest of 1.5% will be added if your payment is late. That’s about $2.25 per day on a $4,500 balance!
If you are receiving OSAP
If your OSAP processing is complete:
- Log in to Student Center and click the "What do I owe in addition to OSAP?" link
- Pay the amount shown to cover what OSAP does not
If you haven't paid your first instalment before OSAP confirms your enrolment:
- OSAP will send Western the minimum payment
- Any leftover funds will be deposited into your bank account
If you are getting a scholarship
If you received one of the following scholarships, you can deduct the amount of anticipated aid from your first instalment:
- National Scholarship
- Western Scholarship of Excellence
- Scholarships for Black students
- Scholarship of Excellence for Indigenous Students
- Welcome to Canada Admission Scholarship
- Continue in Canada Admission Scholarship
- HBA, Law, or Medicine and Dentistry Admission Scholarship
The Western Scholarship of Distinction and Western Admission Scholarship will be applied to your second instalment.
