Winter Break Extension for Students

Student Central will be closed for both in-person and chat services beginning December 23.
Transcripts*, Third Party Forms and Official Western Letters will not be completed after December 22 while the office is closed until we reopen January 4, 2022.
* eTranscripts will be run once a day during the break
We will reopen for chat and in-person services on January 4, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. For our business hours, visit our Contact us page.
The holiday break has been extended; undergraduate classes will now resume on January 10, 2022.
Students in graduate and professional programs should consult their home programs for more information on activities that will start January 4.
Students with placements and internships should consult with their employer.
Western Residences will reopen on January 27, 2022.

This change will mean a few updates to our sessional dates will need to be made over the coming weeks on Student Center and in the Western Calendar/Important Dates. We are aiming to have all the updates made in January 2022.
Note: Special Examinations and make-ups should not be scheduled to occur until classes have resumed on January 10, 2022. The Special Examinations policy will remain in effect, with alternative dates approved by the Dean of the student’s Faculty of registration in consultation with the Instructor and Chair of the Department offering the course.

No, grades will not be updated while the university is closed. Check back after January 4, 2022.
