These dates and deadlines are primarily for undergraduate students. Graduate students should refer to the sessional dates outlined in the SGPS Regulation 1.01 Calendar of Events.

2026

June

June 1

  • Intersession: 3-week second-term courses begin

 

June 2

  • Intersession: Last day to add or drop a 3-week second-term course. Courses dropped by this date will not appear on a transcript. Courses dropped after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty)

 

June 8

  • Summer Distance Studies: Last day to withdraw from a 6-week first-term course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN.’ Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F’
  • Summer Evening: Last day to withdraw from a 6-week first-term course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN.’ Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F’

  • Spring Convocation

 

June 12

  • Summer Distance Studies: 6-week first-term courses end
  • Summer Evening: 6-week first-term courses end

 

June 15

  • Summer Distance Studies: 6-week second-term courses begin
  • Summer Evening: 6-week second-term courses begin
  • Intersession: Last day to withdraw from a 6-week course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN' (withdrawn, without academic penalty). Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F'

 

June 16

  • Intersession: Last day to withdraw from a 3-week second-term course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty). Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F’

 

June 19

  • Summer Distance Studies: Last day to add or drop a 6-week second-term course. Courses dropped by this date will not appear on a transcript. Courses dropped after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty)

  • Summer Day: Last day to add or drop a 6-week course

  • Summer Distance Studies: 12-week courses and 6-week second-term courses end
  • Summer Evening: 12-week courses and 6-week second-term courses end
  • Summer Day: 3-week first-term courses end

  • Summer Day: 3-week second-term courses begin
  • Intersession: Exams begin
  • Summer Distance Studies: Examinations begin

 

July 28

  • Summer Day: Last day to add or drop a 3-week second-term course. Courses dropped by this date will not appear on a transcript. Courses dropped after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty)

August

August 3

  • Civic Holiday (University closed)

 

August 10

  • Summer Day: Last day to withdraw from a 6-week course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty). Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F’

 

August 12

  • Summer Day: 6-week courses and 3-week second-term courses end

  • National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (non-instructional day)

 

October

October 1

  • Last day for students on exchange or a letter of permission to submit transcripts for graduation at Autumn Convocation.

 

October 10-18

  • Fall Reading Week

 

October 20

  • Last day to withdraw from a Fall 6-week first quarter ('Q') course resulting in a grade of 'WDN' (withdrawn, without academic penalty).

 

October 21-22

  • Fall Convocation

 

November

November 2

  • Deadline for official transcripts for courses taken on Letters of Permission during the academic year 2025-26 and the Spring/Summer Terms of 2026.

 

November 30

  • Last day to withdraw from a Fall 12-week course resulting in a grade of ‘WDN’ (withdrawn, without academic penalty). Course withdrawals after this date will appear on a transcript with a grade of ‘F.’

December

December 2

  • Last day to withdraw from a Fall 6-week second quarter ('R') course resulting in a grade of 'WDN' (withdrawn, without academic penalty).
